Privacy Policy

How PlaceKeeper handles your information.

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Who we are

PlaceKeeper is developed by Vladimir Panchenko. For privacy questions or requests, email vp.appstore@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

Saved places, groups, and queries are stored locally on your device. Local storage does not mean every feature works offline: requests to Apple services may include information needed to return maps, search results, or directions.

Location and Apple services

With your permission, PlaceKeeper uses your location to display it on the map, save your current location, and find nearby places. You can change or revoke location permission in your device’s Settings; features that depend on location may then be limited.

PlaceKeeper uses Apple MapKit, geocoding, Look Around, and directions. Using these services may send relevant search terms, coordinates, map areas, or route information to Apple to fulfill your request. Apple’s handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy and Apple Maps & Privacy notice.

Subscriptions and payments

RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements. It processes app user identifiers, device identifiers, and purchase or subscription information needed to validate purchases and determine access to paid features. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for information about its processing.

Payments are processed by Apple. PlaceKeeper does not receive your full payment card details.

No advertising or tracking

PlaceKeeper does not display advertising, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or sell personal data. It does not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

Support communications

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention and your choices

Local content remains on your device until it is removed. Deleting the app’s data removes local content; device backups, if enabled, are managed separately through your device or backup provider. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. Apple and RevenueCat handle service data under their respective policies and applicable requirements.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Contact us to make a request regarding information we hold. We cannot remotely retrieve content stored only on your device.
