Privacy Policy

How Stash handles your information.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Who we are

Stash is developed by Vladimir Panchenko. For privacy questions or requests, email vp.appstore@gmail.com.

No account, limited data

Stash does not require an account and does not ask you to sign in. We do not operate a server that stores your content, and the app does not send your saved content to us. Limited purchase-related and technical data is processed by the third-party services described below.

Information stored on your device

The text snippets, code, links, images, files, collections, titles, notes, and preferences you create are stored locally on your device. They remain on the device and are included in your device backups if you have backups enabled.

Photos and files you choose

Stash accesses only the photos and files you select through the system pickers. Selected items are copied into the app’s private storage so they stay available in your library. The app does not scan your photo library or your files outside of what you pick.

Search and text recognition

Text recognition in saved images runs on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks; your images are not sent anywhere for this purpose. Recognized text is stored locally with the corresponding item so you can view and copy it. Search runs locally on your device.

Subscriptions and purchases

Stash offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your payment details. To manage subscription access, Stash uses RevenueCat, which receives purchase information (such as transaction records and product identifiers) and an anonymous app user identifier. RevenueCat uses this data to provide subscription functionality and related analytics, under its own privacy policy.

Web links

When you save a link, your device may contact that website to retrieve its title and icon. The website receives the request (for example, your IP address) and handles it under its own privacy practices.

On-device AI

Optional text generation uses Apple's on-device model. Your prompts and results are not sent to us or to any external AI service.

Sharing

Stash sends an item to another app only when you choose Share or Copy. The receiving app handles that item under its own privacy policy.

No advertising or tracking

Stash does not display advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell personal data. Stash does not include advertising SDKs. Purchase-related analytics provided by RevenueCat are described above.

Support communications

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention and your choices

Local content remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual items and collections inside the app, and removing the app from your device also removes its locally stored data. Device backups, if enabled, are managed separately through your device or backup provider.

Purchase records are held by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies; requests about that data can be directed to them. You can also contact us for assistance with privacy requests related to Stash.

Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Contact us to make a request regarding information we hold. We cannot remotely retrieve content stored only on your device.

Children

Stash is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchase-related data is processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described above.

Changes to this policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
